It seems that one could find some similarities and parallel thoughts comparing the West and Islamic experts' ideas about this major philosophical problem, which has been discussed by the thinkers of different philosophical schools for a long time. In particular, there are many similarities between Husserl and Mulla Sadra in this case. Husserl describes the nature of the knowledge using the intentionality, and Mulla Sadra reveals it by means of 'soul creation' term. Although these two philosophers where from quite different philosophical traditions and cultures, and despite the fact that they had different sources and purposes, after comparison it would be clear that they had lots of similarities regarding their philosophical discussion forms.
