What makes life worth living? What is the worth of life in spite of sufferings, frustrations and hardships? Or, what values does it have that gives priority to its existence over its non-existence and its acceptance over its non-acceptance? Mullā Ñadrā, the great philosopher of the Islamic world, in accordance with the principles of Transcendent Wisdom, sees the existence as value, good and perfection. Life, which is existential, has also an essential value. Since the existence has different gradations, the value of man’s life is in accord with his specific degree. Of course, there are some other values, volitional or genetic, considered by Mullā Ñadrā as adorning the life. God’s pleasure, man’s dignity, divine primordial nature, eternity, and love are among values of life. Also, any good relationship with the source of existence and the highest perfection is seen as a value. Therefore, relationship with God is the criterion for the value of life. Man’s divine, primordial nature indicates that values flow out from within human being and there is no need of seeking validity from outside. Man’s dignity is existential and made by God; thus it is real and not mentally posited. The substance of man’s superiority and dignity lies in his capacity in acquiring knowledge – what gave man precedence over the angel. According to Mullā sadrā, love is present in every existent. As the existence becomes more intensified, love becomes stronger and as the soul is higher and nobler, its object of love would be subtler and more precious. Immortality is a value and death is not in conflict with it. Man attains a higher rank and a real life at death. Thus, the value of life depends on existential values of human being. These values have strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, the value of life has also degrees and stages.  }, keywords = {Mullā sadrā,value of life,primordial nature,dignity,love,guardianship,immortality}, title_fa = {ارزش زندگی از دیدگاه ملاصدرا}, abstract_fa = {انسان اهل محاسبه و معامله است؛ تا چیزی برای او نیرزد، آن را انتخاب نمی‌کند. ارزش زندگی به چیست؟ زندگی با وجود ناکامی‌ها، رنج‌ها و سختی‌ها چه ارزشی دارد یا حامل چه ارزش‌هایی است که وجودش را بر عدمش برتری بخشیده، پذیرش آن را بر عدم پذیرش آن راجح می‌سازد. فیلسوف بزرگ جهان اسلام مطابق اصول حکمت متعالیه، وجود را ارزش، خیر و کمال می‌داند. زندگی نیز که امری وجودی است، دارای ارزش ذاتی می‌باشد. از آنجا که وجود دارای مراتب است، زندگی انسان متناسب با درجهٴ او از ارزش برخوردار است. البته ارزش‌های دیگری ـ اعم از تکوینی و ارادی ـ هست که ملاصدرا آنها را زینت‌بخش زندگی می‌داند. خشنودی خدا، کرامت انسانی، فطرت الهی، جاودانگی و عشق، ارزش‌های زندگی است. نیز هرگونه ارتباط شایسته با منبع وجود و کمال برتر، ارزش محسوب می‌شود. بنابراین ارتباط با خداوند، معیار ارزش زندگی است. فطرت الهی انسان، نشان می‌دهد که ارزش از درون انسان می‌جوشد و نیازی به اعتبار ارزش و نگاه به بیرون نیست. کرامت انسان امری وجودی و به جعل الهی است؛ لذا امری حقیقی است نه مفهومی اعتباری. مایهٴ برتری و کرامت انسان، ظرفیت علمی او است که سبب برتری بر فرشتگان گشت. از نظر ملاصدرا عشق در هر موجودی سریان دارد. هر چه درجهٴ وجود قوی‌تر باشد، عشق پررنگ‌تر است. هر چه نفس اشرف و اعلی باشد، محبوب او لطیف‌تر و پربهاتر است. جاودانگی ارزش است. زندگی انسان، جاودان است و مرگ تقابلی با جاودانگی ندارد. انسان با مرگ به مرتبه‌ای برتر و حیاتی حقیقی نایل می‌شود. بنابراین ارزش زندگی به ارزش‌های وجودی انسان برمی‌گردد. این ارزش‌ها دارای شدت و ضعف است. پس ارزش زندگی نیز دارای درجات و مراتب می‌باشد.  }, keywords_fa = {ملاصدرا,ارزش زندگی,فطرت,کرامت,عشق,ولایت,جاودانگی}, url = {https://hikmat.isramags.ir/article_6615.html}, eprint = {https://hikmat.isramags.ir/article_6615_14640041cb6a56e1bef9d65190f87929.pdf} }
