The aim of this article is to examine the status of causality from Viewpoints oftwo rationalist philosophers, Ibn SīnÁ and Descartes. First, it deals with the fact that how causality developed in works of each of these two great philosophers showing that both Ibn SīnÁ and Descartes have accepted it. So, they are supposed to believe in its implications (i.e. necessity and cognation) too. Then, it sets out to explain whether they are actually committed to its implications in the process of dealing with it. Ultimately, the contributor comes to the conclusion that Ibn SīnÁ is committed to both the principle of causality and its implications, namely necessity and cognation; but Descartes, who is the founder of modern western philosophy is in fact paving the way for questioning important consequences of causality, that is, necessity and cognation and as a result, the principle of causality through presenting the divine will and the providence. Thus, in his conception of causality Descartes has some opinions other than Ibn SīnÁ, which cast doubt on his adherence to the consequences of causality.  }, keywords = {cause,effect,Ibn SīnÁ,Descartes,necessity,cognation,infinite regress,principality of will}, title_fa = {بررسی جایگاه علیت و لوازم آن از نظر دو فیلسوف عقلگرا: ابن‌سینا و دکارت}, abstract_fa = {مسئلهٔ علیت، یکی از مسائل مهم فلسفه است و انتظار می‌رود حداقل هر فیلسوف عقلگرایی به آن معتقد و پایبند باشد. هدف این نوشتار، بررسی جایگاه علیت از نظر دو فیلسوف عقلگرا، ابن‌سینا و دکارت است. مقالهٔ حاضر، ابتدا به چگونگی پیشبرد مسئلهٔ علیت در آثار هر یک از این دو فیلسوف بزرگ می‌پردازد؛ به این صورت که بیان می‌دارد ابن‌سینا و دکارت، هر دو معتقد به اصل علیت هستند و آن‌را می‌پذیرند؛ بنابراین انتظار می‌رود که به لوازم این اصل (ضرورت و سنخیت) نیز معتقد باشند و سپس به بیان این مسئله می‌پردازد که "آیا این دو فیلسوف در روند بحث علیت هم عملا به لوازم آن معتقدند؟" در نهایت با پیگیری بحث، به این نتیجه می‌رسد که ابن سینا هم معتقد به اصل علیت و هم لوازم آن، یعنی ضرورت و سنخیت است؛ اما دکارت، که بنیانگذار فلسفهٔ جدید در غرب است، با طرح اراده و مشیت الهی، در واقع مقدمات زیر سؤال بردن لوازم مهم علیت، یعنی ضرورت و سنخیت و در نتیجه اصل علیت را فراهم می‌کند. بنابراین دکارت، در مبانی اعتقاد خود به علیت، عقایدی غیر از ابن‌سینا دارد که پایبندی او به نتایج و لوازم علیت را مورد تردید قرار می‌دهد.  }, keywords_fa = {علت,معلول,ابن‌سینا,دکارت,ضرورت,سنخیت,تسلسل,اصالت اراده}, url = {https://hikmat.isramags.ir/article_6573.html}, eprint = {https://hikmat.isramags.ir/article_6573_db6412b2952f625da95b4e4637bdbf67.pdf} }
